Three Rivers South is a small community in Deschutes County that is a part of the Bend area, named for the three rivers throwing through the area: the Deschutes River, Little Deschutes River, and Spring River. Things to Do in Three Rivers South
Three Rivers South is a small community with plenty of outdoor recreation and just a few businesses in town, but convenient access to shopping, churches, and dining choices in nearby Sunriver. In Sunriver, you will find grocery store choices, medical offices and a hospital, and more. For additional shopping, dining, and entertainment, the drive into Bend is just 25 minutes and provides access to everything you are looking for.
Residents of Three Rivers South can access Mt. Bachelor, where all your favorite outdoor recreation can be enjoyed. Skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and more are available on the beautiful mountain, in addition to the golf courses located around the base of the mountain.
Mt. Bachelor Alpine Disc Golf Course is another popular way to enjoy the beautiful area. It is a PDGA listed course and begins at hole #1 that is access by the Pine Marten chairlift. Work your way down the mountain to hole #18 at the base, enjoying a trek through mountain terrain and an awesome local course.
Check out The Wallow Bar & Grill, a local restaurant located on the border of Three Rivers South and Sunriver. Check out their specials, with a freshly curated menu based on what is locally and seasonally available, prepared with creativity and expertise. The restaurant is kid friendly, features lots of beers on tap, and is a great place to relax without driving far from home.
Schools in Three Rivers South
Three Rivers South has its own public school district. Students attend schools in Three Rivers School District, or can choose from a few private schools in the surrounding area. The kindergarten through 8th grade public school in Three Rivers has a great reputation and features small classes sizes to offer excellent student support.
